When trying to merge stardict, emerge fails to complete the fetch phase. Instead it tries t download the source over and over from different mirrors. i fixed the digest this morning. seems like the stardict people changed their tarball without a version bump. this isn't the first time they've done it. anyway, should be fine now. btw, you'll have to make a new package if you want japanese to english dictionaries. it isn't in portage yet as far as i know.
Sorry for the outburst, and thanks for the quick reply. I was a little in a big rush so just did the good old ./configure; make; make install; It worked fine, but now my system is poluted :( Any sudgestions for cleaning it out? As for adding extra dictionarys, its really simple cd ~/ mkdir -p .stardict/dic then just untar a dictionary into the dic folder and voila!
there are dictionary in app-dicts as well that are just an emerge away. to clean up, i don't know, if you still have your source tree available, you could do make uninstall i usually install my own stuff in /usr/local so it doesn't get mixed up with portage managed packages
