I have just instalaled Wine-0.9.61 and tried to run Qickbooks under it. It appears to work OK in that I can open companies and fiddle around. I have not et tried doing any transactions. However it still produces a debug trace, which is attached. This version of Wine is much better than the last one I tried, which would not start Quickbooks at all. This is a very old version of Quickbooks 3.0, installed on a real NT4 system and Samba mounted on to Linux. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. wine /wwuk2/dose/qbooksw3/qbw.exe 2. 3. Gentoo does not directly support running specific applications under wine. That would be an upstream task. If you simply search the Wine AppDB, you'll find that they're aware of the fact that this version does not run under Wine properly. Additionally, you're going to be hard pressed to get much support for the version of Quickbooks you currently have since you're 5 major versions out of date.
sorry, we dont have the man power in Gentoo to track these things ... please use the upstream bug tracker you really should try the latest version first though ...
