Description Chris Picton 2008-06-27 14:33:14 UTC
When a meeting request is sent to my inbox, I can view the request, but the buttons 'Open Calendar', 'Decline', 'Tentative' and 'Accept' remain greyed out.

The text 'Searching for an existing version of this appointment' is shown, but it never disappears.

I can manually modify my calendar, and create entries.

I am running stable x86, with the gnome 2.22 packages unmasked

unfortunately, it works for me. Did you unmask all gnome 2.22 to get evo 2.22 ?
Comment 2 Robert Piasek (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-07-04 12:41:35 UTC
Disable "Prefer plain-text" plugin and just restart.

patch

This is patch which debian and ubuntu use
Comment 4 Chris Picton 2008-07-04 13:26:09 UTC
I am not using the prefer plain text plugin.

That patch appears to only affect that plugin

I am running all gnome 2.22.
Comment 5 Daniel Gryniewicz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-07-12 14:42:52 UTC
(It's not the text-only plugin; that would keep the buttons from showing up.)

Do you have any calendars selected in the Calendars and Tasks tab of the Mail Preferences?
Comment 6 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2008-07-13 08:44:57 UTC
Have you ckecked with 2.22.3.1 (already in portage tree)? Upstream bug report says in comment #20 that this was fixed at 27th May, and 2.22.3 is from 30 May

Sorry, after re-reading bug report I have seen that a missunderstood it, silly me! :-(
Comment 8 Chris Picton 2008-07-14 07:33:42 UTC
Under Preferences -> Calendar and Tasks -> Alarms, I have My Personal Calendar (On This Computer) ticked

Also, under the main Calendars screen, The same calendar is ticked as well.
Comment 9 Chris Picton 2008-07-14 07:40:47 UTC
I have just removed a Scalix account which I had been using for testing, and the problem has resolved itself.

Sorry for wasting your time...
