Description Daniel Frey 2008-06-27 03:05:26 UTC
After installing the ebuild (tried 2.4.0 and 2.4.1, both -bin and -src), attempting to start any app (calc, writer, etc) results in:

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
  what():  St9bad_alloc

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install ebuild
2.Attempt to start any component
3.Crash.

Actual Results:
Loads splash screen, maybe about 1/3 of the way and:

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
  what():  St9bad_alloc

Expected Results:
Started normally!

Installed:
[I--] [ ~] app-office/openoffice-bin-2.4.0 (0)

Comment 6 Daniel Frey 2008-09-02 03:34:28 UTC
After much head-scratching, this was due to bad hardware. It's now resolved.
