The list of sessions in KDM is unsorted because of /etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup_0 To fix this, the old SessionTypes value should be read from the file and modified if new sessions exist, adding the new ones to the end. Not relevant for kdm 3.3.x. It reads session .desktop files and doesn't have a static list in kdmrc anymore, and the code in Xsetup_0 isn't used for kdm 3.3.x. If it turns out that kdm still doesn't sort the sessions, that's a feature request for kde.org imo.
