Description 5FBCDB43 2008-06-24 01:16:52 UTC
If CONFIG_UNUSED_SYMBOLS is not set with a 2.6.25 kernel, fglrx returns
fglrx: Unknown symbol init_mm
and doesn't load.

Reproducible: Always

Now, in the latest ebuild the check is made but as an ewarn, should not be an eerror and add a die?
Comment 2 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-07-06 10:39:14 UTC
9.6 dont need the check anymore and it is our target so wontfix.

If you have card not supported by them rather switch to xf86-video-ati.
Guide describing the approach will follow.
