we're a bit behind in adding new rsync mirrors atm, but give us a week or so and we'll get caught up.

pjp -- created lu.gentoo.org for this rsync mirror.

Thank you for your response.
I gonna wait your feedback.

Cool the lu.gentoo.org ;)

Sorry for the delay, I've had some connectivity issues. I think the Mirror
documnetation (http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/rsync.xml) may have changed since you've submitted this.

The updated information mentions a minimum user connection of 15, and 5Mbps
full duplex bandwidth. Can you confirm both of these requirements? I notice
that the server reports a 5 user connection limit.

Thanks.

I overlooked the email reply. Yes, the server is OK. If you can reply
via bugzilla instead of email, that would be helpful.

I've added 80.92.67.142 to the access list for rsync1.us.gentoo.org.
Please update your rsync cron jobs to point to rsync1.us.gentoo.org
and post back here when you've done so. We'll monitor the server
for a couple days to make sure things are working fine.

Thanks.

Hello,

Is the server OK to be official ?

Regards.

Unfortunately not yet. There seem to be some problems with syncing.
Starting with Wed, 06 Aug 2003 04:01:03 +0000 (date -uR format), the timestamp
was OK. Then, there was a block of time when the syncing wasn't occurring:

Checked (UTC) Timestamp
================================================
     06:50:09 Wed, 06 Aug 2003 06:02:00 +0000 (expected 06:30)
     07:20:13 Wed, 06 Aug 2003 06:02:00 +0000 (expected 07:00)
     07:50:20 Wed, 06 Aug 2003 06:02:00 +0000 (expected 07:30)
     08:20:16 Wed, 06 Aug 2003 06:02:00 +0000 (expected 08:00)
     08:50:09 Wed, 06 Aug 2003 06:02:00 +0000 (expected 08:30)

The syncs started working again with the first timestamp in this list,
then were out of sync again:

Checked (UTC) Timestamp
================================================
     09:20:08 Wed, 06 Aug 2003 09:01:02 +0000 (good)
     09:50:08 Wed, 06 Aug 2003 09:01:02 +0000 x
     10:50:09 Wed, 06 Aug 2003 10:01:02 +0000 x

     12:50:09 Wed, 06 Aug 2003 11:32:00 +0000 x
     15:20:07 Wed, 06 Aug 2003 14:32:00 +0000 x
     15:50:07 Wed, 06 Aug 2003 14:32:00 +0000 x
     17:50:06 Wed, 06 Aug 2003 17:02:00 +0000 x
     22:20:06 Wed, 06 Aug 2003 21:32:00 +0000 x
     07:50:06 Thu, 07 Aug 2003 07:01:02 +0000 x
     08:20:06 Thu, 07 Aug 2003 07:01:02 +0000 x
     09:50:07 Thu, 07 Aug 2003 09:02:00 +0000 x
     10:50:06 Thu, 07 Aug 2003 10:01:03 +0000 x
     11:20:06 Thu, 07 Aug 2003 10:01:03 +0000 x
     23:50:09 Thu, 07 Aug 2003 23:01:04 +0000 x

Can you see if there are any errors on your end?
Comment 8 Peter Penkala gentoo-dev 2003-10-17 12:43:03 UTC
We've resolved some problems with rsync1.us. I just tried to check this
mirror, but I'm not getting a response from the server. Is it still
available?

Thanks.
Comment 9 Peter Penkala gentoo-dev 2003-10-23 19:50:02 UTC
If this mirror becomes available in the future, you can
reopen this bug, or create a new one.

Thanks for your interest in supporting Gentoo Linux.
