I have the same problem, but only with KDE 3.5.9, KDE 4.0.5 works fine.
My numlock LED is backward, but I don't have any relevant errors in the logfile.
If you upgrade to the latest xorg-server-1.5.2 you will see all works as expected.
(In reply to comment #4) > If you upgrade to the latest xorg-server-1.5.2 you will see all works as > expected. > No, I *am* using xorg-server-1.5.2 and xf86-input-evdev-2.0.7
I can't explain it then because on two separate machines I have here, 1 amd64 and one x86, numlock problem has long been gone with the upgrades to the xorg-server. Just a suggestion you may want to try, before leaving the machine for the night, set it to re emerge all xorg packages once again to make sure something isn't screwed up somewhere.
Closing fixed as per comment #4. If anyone still has issues with newer versions of xorg/evdev, please don't hesitate to reopen this bug or to file new ones. Thanks
