Version 003 of sys-power/cpufrequtils has been released on May 25th. Reproducible: Always
parallel-make.patch is included in the new version, so you will have to rip out the src_unpack() function. Apart from that it compiles cleanly. I could not yet test it, since it does not seem to have solved my issue with it not finding a governor/supported-cpu: "wrong, unknown or unhandled CPU?".
Tested and works. (My issue was a BIOS misconfiguration.)
Version 004 has been released on July 14th. I'm reusing this bug to notify the version bump, but, if this is wrong, please tell me so. Moreover, I do not have the permission to change the summary, so probably I'm doing it wrong :) AFAIK, this version solves some problems, like the "Couldn't set profile" error message in sys-power/cpufreqd. Please check https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-5155087.html#5155087 for additional info.
I can confirm that just changing the version number of the ebuild and deleting the patch out of the build allows cpufrequtils to build cleanly and it works without a hitch.
cpufrequtils-005 has been released.
The new release compiles fine on my laptop (amd64). Copied the existing 002 ebuild, plus removed the patch that was mentioned to be no longer needed.
Created attachment 164580 [details] Updated ebuild, copied from 002 and removed patch. Updated ebuild, copied from 002 and removed patch. Also marked all of the architectures mentioned in it as unstable (i.e. ~amd64).
