Description Hasse Hagen Johansen 2003-06-13 10:51:45 UTC
When I try to emerge the mozilla-1.3-r2 ebuild I after a while get a linker
error (says somethin about the parser cannot determine the format of a script,
and then says it will use it as a linker script). I have tried with or without
the use flags (not the internal ones), but with no difference. I have attached
emerge info output and the build log

Regards
Hasse

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge mozilla-1.3-r2
2.
3.

Actual Results:
The compile state of the ebuild stops with an error

Expected Results:
compiled and emerged the ebuild

Portage 2.0.48-r1 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.2.3, glibc-2.3.2-r1)

I think I have found the problem. It is the ccache making problems. I found out that jack-cvs could compile successfully the first time (I didn't got it emerged because of a raid0 bug in the linux kernel...which are locking up my system in some occations). The second time i tried to compile it, I got the same kind of error. It says something about the parser cannot recognize the inputfile...I think that it is because it have been cached. The ccache is obviously only usefull on a few packages....it seems it breaks many thing, but that have to wait for the gentoo-dev list
