Description Harrison Metzger 2008-06-12 20:52:32 UTC
cdrdao-1.2.2 failed to compile with gcc 4.3.1 on AMD64.
I put cdrdao ~amd64 in my package.keywords file and emerge pulled in cdrdao-1.2.2-r1 which compiled fine. Looking at the error below, strrchr() is one of the most basic functions perhaps #include <string.h> was omitted. Can we just make 1.2.2-r1 the main package so ~amd64 is not required, cause 1.2.2 certainly should not be as it won't compile.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge =cdrdao-1.2.2

Of course it fails to build, as GCC 4.3 is ~amd64 and it's fixed in cdrdao-1.2.2-r2 (also ~amd64)

GCC 4.3 is not usable in stable, far from it

And because cdrdao-1.2.2-r2 includes other fixes too, I'm going to wait default 30 days before requesting it stable

Closing as INVALID
