here is the .../x11-misc/google-gadgets-0.9.2/temp/aclocal-6343.out file content:

acinclude.m4:6593: the serial number must appear before any macro definition

sys-devel/libtool-1.5.26 is installed

I've set it to not eautoreconf. I think that's going to work as long as noone from the bsd branches of Gentoo tries this out. Re-sync in a bit and try again. Feel free to re-open if I've not fixed it for you.
