I need to use ltrace on arm, I tested it with dev-libs/elfutils, it doesn't work at all, but with the old dev-libs/libelf it does.

Maybe it would wise to add arm/~arm keywords to dev-libs/libelf ebuilds.

the last one available: libelf-0.8.9
