Upstream appears to be alive, on GitHub, therefore it seems including openstego in the tree would definitely be an option. The main question here is whether there is still user interest in it. If there is, the easiest way of having it included is for an user to become its proxied maintainer and submit an ebuild for inclusion by our dedicated team [1], for instance as a pull request in the Gentoo repository on GitHub [1] https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Proxy_Maintainers On the other hand, if there is no user interest we shall close this ticket as WONTFIX in 30 days - although it can of course always be reopened if need be.
