what I haven't noticed while submitting the report was that the problem actually comes from ICQND, the licq gtk plugin that I use. Licq works with other plugins, e.g. with the console plugin. ICQND is not in portage, so I presume the crash is not a gentoo issue and I'm changing the status to INVALID.
