Description Narada Sage 2003-06-07 08:28:28 UTC
Following on bug 22226, I added 'oss' in my use flags and recompiled
alsa-driver-0.9.4-r1. Then the modules below appeared.

/lib/modules/2.4.20-gentoo-r5/kernel/sound/acore/oss/snd-mixer-oss.o
/lib/modules/2.4.20-gentoo-r5/kernel/sound/acore/oss/snd-pcm-oss.o

However, when I try to modprobe them I get errors about unresolved symbols which
are attached. This didn't happen with previous versions of alsa-driver.

What alsa-related stuff do you have in /etc/modules.d?
Comment 3 Narada Sage 2003-06-09 13:44:50 UTC
There is only /etc/modules.d/alsa as far as I can tell. I have attached this document for your perusal.

This bug can now be closed.

While I was writing my previous comment I tried modprobing the two modules again and both were loaded as normal.

So I can no longer reproduce this bug. Such events perplex me. Thanks for your time and sorry for the inconvenience.

Closing at request of responder, as can no longer be reproduced.
