Which version of dev-lang/perl do you have? Does it help to emerge dev-perl/Digest-SHA1 first?

Perl version: 5.8.8-r4
Yes, I needed to emerge Digest-SHA1 to get it to work, so missing dep.

I had the same problem, but Digest::SHA1 had alread been emerged. Oddly,
re-emerging Digest::SHA1 solved the problem, but other packages that spamassasin detects it rather fails to detect even after re-emerging. Perl is 5.8.8, all packages x86 stable and current.

Looks like you switched from perl with USE="-ithreads" to USE="ithreads" (or the other way around for that matter) without running perl-cleaner... Sounds right?

Take a look at bug #83342.

Closing INVALID, feel free to reopen (but please do provide output from `perl -V`).
