Comment 1 Rafał Mużyło 2008-05-28 10:44:37 UTC
Bug summary is misleading.
This is a bug (libtool 2 related), that was solved
for 0.5.10, but gentopia people failed to add that patch
to 0.5.11. And that's not the only thing they've failed
to do for 0.5.11.

If you think you can do better, please see this link. http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=1&chap=2 Otherwise, realize that Gentoo Developers are not your personal software programmers and do this in their spare time. They have lives, families, and jobs that allow us to have a place to live as well as feed our families.
Comment 3 Rafał Mużyło 2008-05-28 17:56:03 UTC
I'm referring to the patch I dropped in bug 222315,
less than 12 hours after I opened it.
It's yet to be noticed.
And, while I think I'm able to add my 2c every once in a while,
I don't think I'd be a very good permanent addition to the team.

My attitude goes down to this simply too fast.

things missed in 0.5.11-r1

I want to thank you for 0.5.11-r1 ebuild.
However it looks like I should have been a bit less vague in bug 222315.
There's something you've missed because of that.
Comment 5 Rafał Mużyło 2008-05-29 10:23:56 UTC
And it still depends on doxygen, while it should depend on gtk-doc.
Comment 6 Rafał Mużyło 2008-05-29 10:27:42 UTC
In fact, doxygen -> gtk-doc move was done with 0.5.8.
Comment 7 Ian Abbott 2008-08-01 14:34:28 UTC
I'm trying to build sys-apps/hal-0.5.9.1-r3 and am hitting the same bug.
Comment 8 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-01-16 09:43:24 UTC
the libtool-2 bug is fixed, if you have other bugs please fill other reports. Thanks for understanding.
