This didn't happen in the minimal installcd.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get vmware 6.0.3 trial, create a new typical vm and install gentoo.
2. there won't be any hard drives to install on

I was hit by the same problem in some _beta version, final release works for me. Closing this one therefore.
