Well, this package has a lot of problems currently: 1. it does not build 2. it crashes 3. it hangs 4. it was not updated for years 1. and 2. more or less fixed in my overlay: http://overlays.gentoo.org/dev/pva/browser/net-analyzer/sonar but even after fixes I failed to get any use of it... 3. could be reproducible playing with examples from man page and taking into account 4, I'm filling this bug. Now I've mailed upstream developer (who, looking into bugzilla, maintained this package for Gentoo and provided ebuilds). Now depending on results we'll have we should either fix this package or nuke it.
CC'ing upstream developer here. Although the last activity in our bugzilla was more than two years ago...
I (red0x) haven't had any time to work on this project for quite some time. There's not much activity on my mailing list for the project, either, so it doesn't look promising that anyone wants to take it over. I'd say go ahead and nuke it. R.I.P. Sonar.
Thank you red0x. Actually idea itself was rather interesting, but currently now working implementation, so we have to nuke it. treecleaner, please, go ahead and do it. Thank you.
In the previous post: s/now/no/ there is no working implementation.
