sys-apps/v86d-0.1.3 compiles and works properly. I updated portage tree and wanted to update sys-apps/v86d-0.1.3 to sys-apps/v86d-0.1.3-r1. This is the error: config.h successfully created. Are you sure 0.1.3 still compiles correctly? i.e. if you run `emerge =sys-apps/v86d-0.1.3`, does it work?
(In reply to comment #2) > Are you sure 0.1.3 still compiles correctly? i.e. if you run `emerge > =sys-apps/v86d-0.1.3`, does it work? > v86d-0.1.3 also fails, but I also emerged it on the same system, but this was before I used hardened-sources and the use flags "hardened pic". On my private system with gentoo-sources it compiles without any problems. The log in english: >>> Emerging (1 of 1) sys-apps/v86d-0.1.3 to / * v86d-0.1.3.tar.bz2 RMD160 SHA1 SHA256 size ;-) ... Well, it probably fails because 2.6.23-hardened-r12 doesn't include the uvesafb patch (uvesafb was merged into mainline in 2.6.24). If you upgrade your kernel to e.g. 2.6.24-r2, the problem should be gone.
