By now the server is fully operative and syncs once a day at 0:00 Spain local time, in order not to be banned. LAN speed will be upgraded to 1Gbps soon. Hope it'll be welcome! Reproducible: Always
DNS translation has been finally set to gentoo-euetib.upc.es and is fully operative.
Is there anybody listening? If you are testeing the mirror, please let me know (it also works as an rsync mirror). I have registered a continued access from IP 66.249.72.194, so I have denied access to this IP for some time...
Jordi, Thanks for wanting to help Gentoo out with a mirror. You will need to sync every 4 hours as mentioned in the http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/source_mirrors.xml Once that's setup, update the bug and I'll check a few times before adding you in.
These are good news! Done. First sync performed around 12PM (Spain local time) against ftp.ussg.iu.edu::gentoo-distfiles.
Now there is a gigabit connection to the server, so you should download faster.
