There used to be a bonobo based tiff plugin for browsers, however, it seems to have dropped from use and died. There is a new plugin at SourceForge <http://tiff-plugin.sourceforge.net> and I was given a quick'n'dirty ebuild by "tgurr" that installed it very well on my system. The URL above points to my forum post regarding this.

Here is forum post:- <http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-685265-highlight-mozillatiffplugin.html>
Works fine for me under x86. Forgot to include patch. Attaching.

is this fx3/Xulrunner 1.9 compatible
(In reply to comment #6) > is this fx3/Xulrunner 1.9 compatible > I have it as a plugin on Firefox-3.0.1 & xulrunner-1.9.0.1 here and have tested it at the US Patent Office site, the reason I wanted it in the first place.
Oh, forgot, both FF-3 & Xulrunner are compiled, not the .bin versions :-/
due to the splitting of xul/xpcom object support from main firefox (FFX3), the patch you submitted Mike has been made invalid, because as of ffx3 "/usr/include/mozilla" does not exist, in order to get this working i have to replace all Mozilla references with the xulrunner equivalents, i've added an attachment that works for me, any problems let me know

My system doesn't even have an "include" sub-dir in "/usr/lib/mozilla-firefox"
wouldn't the mozextension.eclass and/or mozconfig.eclass take care of this issue?

Damn!! I installed the update to my machine, worked fine, then put it up here, then decided to install it on the others .... It failed with error for missing files nsapi.h $ nsupp.h. Funny thing is, I cannot seem to 'find' them on my system either. The one the update seems to be working on. Any way to scratch those attachments? BTW.. This is why I don't usually try and do this ebuild stuff, usually stuff it up major league :-/

Category net-www is going to be retired (see bug 265569), so new packages should go to one of the www-* categories instead.

mozilla team will not handle.
