Description Ashish Shukla 2008-05-20 17:01:22 UTC
Due to a typo in ctrlproxy-3.0.6 source code, ctrlproxy doesn't accept 'learn-nickserv' option.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start ctrlproxy in one terminal.
2. Start irc client in another terminal.
3. Connect IRC to address at which ctrlproxy is listening.
4. Now, enter "/msg ctrlproxy set learn-nickserv true" in IRC client to set 'learn-nickserv' option to true.
5. After this enter, "/msg ctrlproxy saveconfig" in IRC client to save ctrlproxy settings.
6. After this enter, "/mst ctrlproxy die" to terminate the ctrlproxy .
7. Now restart ctrlproxy.
8. And again connect to ctrlproxy in the IRC client.
9. Enter "/msg ctrlproxy set" in the IRC to see the current state of options.
10. And in those options, 'learn-nickserv' is false.
Actual Results:
'learn-nickserv' option gets reset to false on restart of ctrlproxy

Expected Results:
'learn-nickserv' should not get reset to false.

Please send this upstream.
Comment 3 Ashish Shukla 2008-06-05 18:24:42 UTC
The bug is already fixed in upstream. But there has been no release since 3.0.6.
