Description Mathias Hablützel 2008-05-20 08:25:47 UTC
Trying to do a world update portage returns the following message:
!!! Problem resolving dependencies for media-gfx/digikam
!!! Depgraph creation failed.

running then an emerge -pv digikam shows the following:
# emerge -pv digikam

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies \
!!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "media-gfx/digikam" have been masked.
!!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request:
- media-gfx/digikam-0.9.4_beta4 (masked by: ~x86 keyword)
- media-gfx/digikam-0.9.4_beta3 (masked by: ~x86 keyword)
- media-gfx/digikam-0.9.3 (masked by: ~x86 keyword)
- media-gfx/digikam-0.9.2 (masked by: package.mask)
- media-gfx/digikam-0.9.1 (masked by: )

For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page or
refer to the Gentoo Handbook.

Now I'm wondering why 0.9.1 is suddenly masked?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -pvuDN world
2. emerge -pv digikam

-> - media-gfx/digikam-0.9.2 (masked by: package.mask)

Because you've put it in your locak /etc/portage/package.mask.
For the empty mask message, file a portage bug (search first).
