This was a much appreciated feature in Mozilla and Phoenix. Soft linking the
named catalogues allows one to install the plugins in one browser, and have them
installed in all browsers. With the current setup one has to manually link all
plugins. This unstandard behavior complicates things for new users, yet adds no
obvious benefit to more experienced users.

This was fixed yesterday, in mozilla-firebird-0.6-r3.
