Request bump

Couple meta questions,

- until now the python team had been looking after this package. Is that no longer the case?

- why did you change the URL to "k"? I had the release announcement there before; most people actioning bumps I file have appreciated such information.

Could you say us who did that?

And, Andrew, please, do not fill zero day bump request. Wait at least one month. Take a look at this picture:

Now you see what you've done? :) Also you've missed that this is release candidate...

According to the bugzilla email notification, it was carlo@gentoo.org

> Also you've missed that this is release candidate...

Actually:
 * https://edge.launchpad.net/bzr/1.5/1.5
 * http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.version-control.bazaar-ng.announce/130 (The same email that Andrew linked to, but at the announcement mailing list)

I've asked carlo about this incident but I suppose he just pressed wrong button :)

Speaking about URL and rc1 candidate ... I just mixed the things because I've just picked announcement URL below 1.5 release on bazaar home page and did not noticed that URL was supposed to announce that Bazaar became GNU program.

It should also be noted that there is currently no tarball for version 1.5 at http://bazaar-vcs.org/releases/src/ (although one exists for 1.5rc1). I don't know if that's intentional or an oversight. Because a bug was filed at my overlay with regards to this problem <https://bugs.launchpad.net/bzr-gentoo-overlay/+bug/232030>, I've changed the SRC_URI in my copy of bzr-1.5.ebuild to point to the launchpad tarball, as of revision 128.

Even more scary isn't it? :P
bzr{,tools}-1.5 are in CVS. Thanks for reporting.

No need to be rude. Furthermore, I'm a dog person, so frankly, the more kittens that are killed off, the better.

Until now, no one had taken responsibility for this package; as none of the devs seemed to be using it they were worth filing, and, as noted, based on the comments of other devs on previous bumps, appreciated - not to mention putting Gentoo on the map as the first distro to have packages of it which made Gentoo look good, which was the point of the exercise.

Andrew, I'm sorry to see that you fell we've told rude with you. That was not intension. After rereading bug I've failed to see anything rude. Although we really appreciate bump requests most developers hate 0-30 day bump requests. That's why the joke about kittens appeared... HTH.
