Description Paweł B 2008-05-16 02:37:27 UTC
I'm owner of Dell Inspiron 1501 (AMD 64 , ATI 1150 RADEON). i've been using erlier x86_64 architecture of Gentoo and hadn't problem witch compilation x11-drivers/ati-drivers. Last I changed architecture to x86 and still attempt to compile these drivers, but unfortunately during compilation bug occures:

emerge --info please

I think you have problems since kernel -> 64bit, userspace -> 32bit.

I'm don't think anything can be done about this (parsed from your error msg):

ld: Relocatable linking with relocations from format elf64-x86-64
to format elf32-i386
is not supported
