With the 0.9.12-r1 ebuild of ethereal I still get an access violation as indicated in bug #17310, even with addwite "/usr/share/snmp/mibs/". As far as I can tell, the access to /usr/share/snmp/mibs/.index does not occur during the src_compile() phaze but rather the src_install() phaze. Moving the addwrite there seemed to fix the problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. ebuild /usr/portage/net-analyzer/ethereal/ethereal-0.9.12-r1.ebuild compile (No access violation here.) 2. ebuild /usr/portage/net-analyzer/ethereal/ethereal-0.9.12-r1.ebuild install (Access violation.) Actual Results: Access violation. Expected Results: Installed.
