When I run ifconfig for eth0 on a PPC KDE verdion of the LiveCD, I get this error SIOCSIFADDR: No such device eth0: unknown interface: No such device Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.ifconfig eth0 IP_ADDR netmask NETM_ADDR up SIOCSIFADDR: No such device eth0: unknown interface: No such device Actual Results: Return to root shell prompt Expected Results: Assigned an IP and netmask to the ethernet device.
what does plain "ifconfig eth0" give you? What computer is this happening on? Pieter
traced back the problem to a possible missing network driver in the livecd kernel.config. Next livecd will hopefully have this problem fixed
