Description David Boucher 2008-05-15 13:02:00 UTC
kscd plays well my audio cds. Whereas soundjuicer or rhythmbox don't.

if I enter :
gst-launch-0.10 cdparanoiasrc

I get the following result :
Définition du pipeline à PAUSED...
ERREUR : le pipeline refuse de se mettre en pause.
ERREUR : de l'élément /pipeline0/cdparanoiasrc0 : This CD has no audio tracks
Information de débogage supplémentaire :
gstcddabasesrc.c(1385): gst_cdda_base_src_start (): /pipeline0/cdparanoiasrc0
Définition du pipeline à NULL...
Libération du pipeline (FREE)...

So, the same error as with soundjuicer : "This CD has no audio tracks"

My installed packages are :
media-plugins/gst-plugins-cdparanoia-0.10.17
media-libs/gstreamer-0.10.19

For example, soundjuicer recognizes all the title inside the cd thanks to the cddb base, but cannot play nor rip any track.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Insert an audio cd
2. Wait for gnome to detect the cd
3. Your multimedia application tries to read the cd and fails.

Sorry for the noise.

This is fixed with gst-plugins-base-0.10.19 :-(

Anyway, thanks !
