Hi,
  it appears that release media contain now ftp and telnet clients from heimdal.
However, it took me a while to figure out that I have to write kftp and ktelnet instead. I am perfectly fine with this, but for the purpose of release media I suggest to provide softlinks as telnet and ftp. Otherwise, I am happy that kerberos-aware apps are available!

This was on which CD?

Also, this is likely best done in the package itself, and not via any hackery from the release team.

I don't believe it could be done by package maintainers nor upstream, it is supposed to co-exist with other telnet/ftp/rsh/rlogin utilities.
