hostapd-0.5.10 has been out since some time already, a simple verbump does it.
Also there's still no 0.5.x version stable which is considered the stable branch upstream which also has a ton of useful features that 0.4.x lacks.

I'll bump it to 0.5.10 later today, and then we'll wait a month and see if something breaks :)

0.5.10 is in CVS, will be hitting a mirror near you within the hour.

Now lets wait a while and see if any bugs show up :-)
