When attempting to view the info pages in bash in Gnome Help going to any sub section gives an error. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open Gnome Help 2.Select Info Pages under Additional Documents 3.Select Bash 4.Select ANY sub section Actual Results: Receveive error message "The info document "bashref" could not be found. It may have been removed from your system. Expected Results: The info page for the subsection. using command line tool "info" works correctly.
KDE help correctly shows info page.
hmm .. seems like a problem with the info page more than gnome-help if you do : ln -s /usr/share/info/bash.info.gz /usr/share/info/bashref.info.gz then the references will be correct. internally, the bash manpage is refering to bashref, yet itself is named bash.info.gz.
That workaround works...
Yup seems like it is the bash info file that is faulty. bug-wranglers, please reassign to bash maintainer or do whatever you like with it ;)
bash-2.05b-r5.ebuild has this.
