Created attachment 152955 [details, diff] pk7-0.5-no-reg-default.patch pk7-gui registers its mime type automatically when no arguments are supplied. This patch prevents this behaviour. I think that registering should take place either in the installation or by an explicit operation (like --reg) instead of automagic messing.

There hasn't been a new upstream release since December 2009, and given we are talking about support for a proprietary file format here chances are said release is now way out of date. If there is anyone out there who can shed some light on this, and in the event of this software still being useful would volunteer to become its Gentoo maintainer, please let us know! Otherwise, this bug will be closed in 30 days as WONTFIX.
