I have a new Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 SATA 250 GB 8MB cache hard disk. This drive isn't in HDDTEMP database, but i added in /usr/share/hddtemp/hddtemp.db a line containing: "ST3250310AS" 194 C "Seagate Barracuda 720.10 SATA 250GB 8MB" and now hddtemp is able to monitorize the drive temperature. Reproducible: Always Actual Results: Seagate ST3250310AS HDD identifier missing in hddtemp database. Expected Results: Add Seagate ST3250310AS HDD identifier to HDDTEMP database.
The HOMEPAGE explains: You can send me (hddtemp at guzu dot net) a report of hddtemp output (with and without the --debug option). And try to play with the drive and to test with the case opened, or when you just have powered your PC, to see if the temperature is changing. If you notice some problems (even with drives what were said to be supported) please tell me. Thanks a lot.
Yes, but: 1- Adding this line to hddtemp database allows to display the drive temperature. 2- In /usr/share/hddtemp is a hddgentoo.db file that is appened at the end of hddtemp database by the ebuild. The disc data can be added at this point.
Added to hddgentoo.db in CVS. Thanks.
