Description Chris Carlin 2008-05-08 21:00:33 UTC
After merging net-im/empathy-0.23.1 I see two entries for it in my applications menu and through the account add function I see two entries for each account type.

For the first issue I see two entries installed in /usr/share/applications: empathy.desktop and empathy-empathy.desktop.

For the second, going to account->new account each account type is listed twice. There are two jabbers, two gtalks, etc. Other places (e.g. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=491409) describe this as related to installation.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled both empathy and the various telepathy components to try to fix this stuff, but it hasn't helped.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Merge empathy and some telepathy components then check desktop menu and try to add an account through empathy.

The problem was fixed by Tester some time ago in 0.23.1. 0.23.3 is ok too.

I don't understand... I was testing using 0.23.1 when I ran into the bug.

I've since upgraded to 0.23.3 and the bug shows up there as well.

I don't see any -r ebuilds, so where was it fixed?

I fixed it without bumping the revision (evil me)
