there is no libgtkhtml-3.0.4 in portage yet. you are using non-official ebuilds and hence i cannot help you.
FWIW, libgtkhtml-3.0.4 is in portage, it's just masked ~x86: palmer / # ls -l /usr/portage/gnome-extra/libgtkhtml/ total 36 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3647 Jun 3 06:36 ChangeLog -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 940 Jun 3 06:36 Manifest drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Jun 3 06:36 files -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 735 Feb 13 07:23 libgtkhtml-2.0.2.ebuild -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 805 Apr 3 10:25 libgtkhtml-2.2.1.ebuild -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 806 May 13 14:53 libgtkhtml-2.2.3.ebuild -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 844 May 13 14:26 libgtkhtml-2.2.4.ebuild -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1784 May 7 07:17 libgtkhtml-3.0.3.ebuild -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1915 Jun 3 06:24 libgtkhtml-3.0.4.ebuild I have exactly the same problem as Andrea. Looks like others have the same problem: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=49033
i put in libgtkhtml-3.0.4 two days after the bug report came in, so there was no way he was using an ebuild from portage. but i'll reopen the bug anyway because it seems like something is broken on your systems. can you execute this command? egrep "libesd.la" /usr/lib/*.la | grep libasound | awk -F: '{print $1}' and paste the results.
hmm .. REOPENED made i UNCONFIRMED .. thats weird .. anyway ..
True, I was using an unofficial ebuild (found here http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=56708). Anyway, as you asked :) : # egrep "libesd.la" /usr/lib/*.la | grep libasound | awk -F: '{print $1}' /usr/lib/libbonoboui-2.la /usr/lib/libcamel.la /usr/lib/libcapplet.la /usr/lib/libevolution-importer.la /usr/lib/libgen_util_applet-2.la /usr/lib/libglade-bonobo.la /usr/lib/libglade-gnome.la /usr/lib/libgnome-2.la /usr/lib/libgnomecanvaspixbuf.la /usr/lib/libgnome-desktop-2.la /usr/lib/libgnomeprint.la /usr/lib/libgnomeui-2.la /usr/lib/libgnomeui.la /usr/lib/libgtkhtml-1.1.la /usr/lib/libnautilus-private.la /usr/lib/libpanel-applet-2.la libgthkhtml up to 2.2.4 compiled fine.
try re-emering gal-1.99 again and then try libgtkhtml-3.x, it looks like its broken somehow.
I'll try... but it is normal?? * gnome-extra/gal Latest version available: 0.24 Latest version installed: 1.99.6 Size of downloaded files: 1,013 kB Homepage: http://www.gnome.org/ Description: The Gnome Application Libraries * gnome-extra/gal2 [ Masked ] Latest version available: 0.0.6 Latest version installed: [ Not Installed ] Size of downloaded files: 725 kB Homepage: http://www.gnome.org/ Description: Gnome 2 Gnome Application libraries
Solved. This is the result for gal and libgtkhtml: gnome-extra/libgtkhtml selected: none protected: 2.2.4 3.0.4 omitted: none gnome-extra/gal selected: none protected: 0.24 1.99.6 omitted: none I hope it's correct... ;)
yeah. gal2 is deprecated so we're just waiting for a reason to get rid of it. anyway, this looks fixed now.
