Could you please attach the full build log created by portage, along with the full output of emerge --info.

Thanks
Comment 2 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-05-24 11:34:30 UTC
you might want to run revdep-rebuild as well.

Please get back to us.

Whoops, not used to submitting a bug in elinks. Sorry for the extra post.

I also experience this bug, and am more than willing to give you guys any info you need to pull GNOME back online for me.

Oh, and this is on an 1686 system, so you should change the architecture to "All".
Comment 6 Daniel 2008-08-11 00:17:16 UTC
I'm experiencing the same bug. I wonder if it is related to the latest stable gtk+ (2.12.10-r1) upgrade?

Build log and emerge --info follows...

guys, you might want to reemerge gnome-base/libgnomekbd

Fixed with the latest stable gnome-control-center (2.22.2.1). As usual in Gentoo (and unfortunately) the dependencies get upgraded before the applications which rely on them to work...
Comment 11 Jacob Godserv 2008-08-12 22:10:31 UTC
Works for me! Thanks guys!
Comment 12 Rémi Cardona (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-08-20 11:51:43 UTC
Closing as per comments #10 and #11.

Thanks

I am limited to using control-center-2.20.x because 2.22.x indirectly requires newer kernel headers and I currently have 2.6.18 because of various reasons. Now However also masking >=libgnomekbd-2.22.0 fixed the problem for me.
