Description Andrea Franceschini 2008-05-03 11:47:58 UTC
Hello guys. I'm submitting this ebuild for linuxwacom-0.8.0 which is derived from 0.7.9_p7. I just removed the patches which are relevant to the previous release and everything worked fine.

This driver seems to have some bugs related to some X events not caught on a stochastic basis so please test it and report to http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1887324&group_id=69596&atid=525124

Thanks for reporting this. I wasn't aware a new version was out. 5:)

I added it to my local overlay, tested it out for an hour or two, and don't see much difference between 0.7.9_p7. I've therefore pushed it into the tree, please give the servers a couple of hours to update before syncing. Thanks again... 5:)

Did you notice the bug I reported to the original developers, the one about uncaught events? It seems that very few users are having this problem.

Thanks for the inclusion in the tree, I hope this may help with that bug. It seems that this driver doesn't get much attention from the community.

Hi Andrea,

I did notice this, I filed the original bug you mentioned after finding this issue during early testing of the 0.7.9 codebase. Both issues seemed to have been fixed, at least for my graphire3, by the time I tried out 0.7.9_p7. That's why I gave the driver a quick test on my main box, I'm still not detecting the issue anymore.

Things that might be affecting this (that you could do with recording on your sourceforge bug) include the version of X you're using, the model of your graphics tablet and whether you're using the kernel or provided module (I'm using the 2.6.25 kernel module). Good luck getting it sorted...
