Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.boot from live CD
2.
3.

I had a similar problem trying to boot from the stable 2007.0 live CD it seems to stem from a lack of JMICRON support in that realease I had to run a 3rd party version of gentoo called small gentoo in order to boot.

Could you attach the output of "lspci" to this bug?

Also, have you tried waiting for a long time when it hits ata_piix? I'm curious if it ever comes back or not. Of course, if it is locked up, like CAPS doesn't work and such, let me know that, too.

booting with the irqpoll option seems to have fixed this problem
