Description horea_christian 2008-04-29 11:02:18 UTC
I just installed thunar and it won't get along with my icon theme. I posted on the forum and it seems to affect others who use svg themes after the last update, the error message reads:
(thunar:31531): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory scalable/places/22 of theme black-white_2-Style has no size field

Reproducible: Always

I'd think this is more a bug with the used theme itself, as Gtk+ throws the warning. Is this a theme coming with gtk-engines, with Xfce or is it one that isn't in the Gentoo repository at all? Which other themes are affected? Would you point to the forums thread, please?!
Comment 2 horea_christian 2008-04-29 13:51:09 UTC
all svg themes have this problem, because svg themes don't have a specified zise, all gtk apps show that error but they still resize the items.

Aditionally this issue is claimed to be fixed since thunar 0.5..
as mentioned here: "Make sure emblems don't get too large with SVG icon themes (#2466)." -> http://thunar.xfce.org/news.html#2007-12-02

This -> http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-690213.html is the forum thread i was talking about... not much of a discussion but goes to show someone else has teh same problem.

reassigning to maintainers per comment #2
Comment 4 horea_christian 2008-05-25 14:12:49 UTC
anybody? this hasn't been solved and it's very annoying....
Comment 5 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-06-05 12:51:00 UTC
I don't expect *anything at all* to happen here before someone reports this to
upstream bugzilla, bugs.xfce.org and links us there.
Comment 6 horea_christian 2008-06-06 17:18:38 UTC
The problem seems to affect only people using thunar in gnome, resizing works properly with thunar in xfce.

This *really* isn't a problem that we can fix in Gentoo alone. Please file a bug upstream at bugs.xfce.org. Sorry.
