ppc-sources is also a benh kernel ppc-sources-benh is also incorrectly named, but thats another bug.
lu_zero, I'm going to assign this to you, is that ok? Pieter
This dependency is caused by a recent improvement of mol for SMP. It has been coordinated between Samuel Rydh and Benjamin Herrenschmidt. See the message http://lists.maconlinux.org/pipermail/mol-devel/2003-April/000137.html on the mol-developer list. When the recent ppc-sources consists of ben10 and also provides this "symbol needed by mol" (see link to mail above), then I have no further objectives to link the latest two developer-versions of mol against the ppc-sources.
I can run mol perfect on ppc-sources-2.4.21-r1 (the livecd sources) changing dependency to virtual/kernel seems the best thing todo. afaik ppc-sources, ppc-sources-crypto, ppc-sources-benh are all -benh based. I have no idea if mol also works when smp is enabled.
the snapshot are ment to solve some gcc-3.3/3.2.x issue and smp issues, mol .96_pre2 seems working with smp enabled as per irc report.
ok closing
