The latest stable version of Racer is the 0.5.0 one (0.5.0-r2 for gentoo ~x86) However, there are some beta version available - like the 0.5.4 beta 1 - for Linux (this one is told to work with Ubuntu 7.10) Couldn't we/you/them put the 0.5.4-b1 in the portage tree, only available in ~arch, and/or masked ? So that maybe someone will like this game and decide to go on with the dev ?

@nicodache You don't have to CC yourself when already a bug reporter. About racer, I have ebuild for some 0.5.2 (or 0.5.3?) beta somewhere, but that was only a quick hack from ebuild in portage.
I have no x86 to try, but there's source for 0.5.0 (see http://www.racer.nl/download/v050/rr050src.tgz). Might even check bug #194151 against it. There are newer binary releases, last one is 0.5.4b1. Games herd, can we have an update?

Because you haven't submitted a working ebuild for a newer version.
