Description David Watzke 2008-04-19 07:07:01 UTC
Hi, in the current version of the KMLDonkey frontend for KDE 3 is an annoying bug that causes the same search results to be displayed many times. New release probably won't appear ever (it didn't in years) but it's been fixed in their SVN long time ago, so I think that the new SVN snapshot would be great.

I'm using this ebuild at home (~amd64) and it works fine.

I wouldn't like to see SVN snapshots on our tree unless they fix security issues.

In this case, I would opt for this version to get into an overlay and not to the tree.

If you want that interface issue solved in the current stable version, I would ask you for a patch against it instead. This is the way we have proceeded in other cases.

0.11 has been released :-)

See, every bug you create, every comment you make shows up as an email in a certain number of peoples inboxes. To minimize the flood of emails, you're asked not to file requests for a new version, unless we do not react within a week; Of course, the same holds for comments on existing bugs.

In this case, I've seen your request, had a look at the code, noticed two issues, created a patch and contacted the developer behind this application and know about the pending release since a few days.

It is everything else than encouraging to fix bugs in an application I'm not particularly interested in and as a result get yet another bug spam email.
