patches-2.4.21_rc2-gss.tar.bz2 is missing the 3.5G-address-space patch file. I've looked at the patch file in archiver and I can't find the address space patch. I went to kernel.org and looked at the AA's patch for this. By comparing the the diffs shown in the orig. file at kernel.org and comparing it to what I have in /usr/src/linux, it appears that nothing with the relevant files shown in the diff have been changed to support addres-space. This results in the win4lin the option being unavailable in menuconfig. Because this setting is dependent on user address sppace setting. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.emerge gs-sources 2.relink linux to new source dir in /usr/src 3.cd /usr/src/linux 4.make menuconfig 5. try to set kernel config to compile win4lin support Actual Results: I saw the menuconfig screen as usual, but I can't enable win4lin support, because I can't meet it's dependence on user address space.
this seems to be ok in the latest version (2.4.23_pre8)... it was probably fixed before that...
