Attached is a new ebuild and diffs from version 0.16 of md5deep. I've added in
the ability to specify the type of files to have the program check. Also
submitting the change to md5deep's author for inclusion in his next release if
he desires.

were these patches submitted to the author of md5deep for consideration?

i'll take a look at these as soon as time permits

Submitted to author, no reply yet. Functionality was added as the program would hang on certain types of files. These patches allow for selection of types of files to be checked.

Author is including in next version of md5deep with minor changes.

is it possible for you to merge those patches into one patch and make is using -u 
?

Let's just close out this bug. I received an alpha of version 1.0 of md5deep from the author with these changes shortly after he accepted my changes. He should be releasing a new version on sourceforge soon I would presume. I'll just create a new ebuild and submit a new bug at that point.

i haven't seen any new releases for md5deep for a while. we'll reopen this when it happens.
