We're going to need your help to help you solve this :)

Please read this http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/qa/backtraces.xml and try to obtain a backtrace using GDB.

Thanks

I fear it doesn't help very much.

You haven't followed what the document says :) Please read it carefully.

@herd, maybe we should have a simpler document... few are the people who actually manage to get the real info out of it on the first read.

Sorry, but my english is bad, and I'was a little lazy during my fast translation.

Now, the results :

It's better now ?
Comment 6 Rémi Cardona (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-17 12:45:29 UTC
It's better :) but obviously, the segfault is happening in one of firefox's libraries.

Could you provide :
 - the use flags you've used to build liferea,
 - the version of firefox/xulrunner/seamonkey that you have on your system,
 - the same backtrace but after rebuilding your gecko engine with the debug symbols

Thanks
Comment 7 Benjamin Lannoy 2008-04-17 13:05:09 UTC
USE="dbus firefox gnutls gtkhtml libnotify -lua -networkmanager -seamonkey -xulrunner"

It was with Firefox 2.0.0.13

But… since the last update for 2.0.0.14, Liferea work well again. :)
Comment 8 Rémi Cardona (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-17 13:11:58 UTC
Cool, closing then. Thanks for the quick response.
