Hi! XMDS the eXtensibile Multi-Dimensional Simulator and is a code generator that integrates equations. You write them down in human readable form in a XML file, and it goes away and writes and compiles a C++ program that integrates those equations as fast as it can possibly be done in your architecture. I would suggest sci-misc for this package as it is rather general, however if it *must* be more specifically categorised then sci-physics is the next most appropriate category. This ebuild depends upon sci-libs/fftw and sys-devel/gcc Many thanks! Paul Reproducible: Always

Hi Paul, Thanks for your help. Did you see that xmds is already in Gentoo under sci-mathematics/xmds? If you want to change anything to the ebuild, let us know.
(In reply to comment #3) Hi Sebastien, > Did you see that xmds is already in Gentoo under sci-mathematics/xmds? > If you want to change anything to the ebuild, let us know. That's really weird! I did a search for xmds in bugzilla and came up with zero hits and thought it can't be there. I also don't remember submitting an ebuild for xmds initally (it's possible that I did though, but it's probably a *long* time ago. It's even more strange in that I'm a Gentoo user! (I didn't see it in sci-misc or sci-physics, so that probably explains things). Many thanks for your reply! And many thanks for the ebuild :-) There's no need to change things, I had a look at the ebuild and it looks great. If I can be of any help with respect to upstream bugs or whatever, just let me know. This is great, I can update the docs and let the users know that it is available! Kind regards Paul

Thank Michal (see asssigned field) for that. Closing this as invalid. Since you are part of upstream, don't hesitate to file a bug to sci or Michal if you see any bug or enhancement in the future.
