Description Zach Forrest 2002-04-27 16:31:15 UTC
Ebuilder 0.3 - Package Builder for Gentoo Linux

News:

Sorry, but the templates have undergone some semi-significant
changes, so any customizations you made will be lost. (Your
old templates will be backed up, but you will have to redo
your customizations in the new templates manually.)

Ebuilder is now much smarter when it comes to package names.
It uses 'pkgname' to see if the downloaded archive conforms
to the ebuild naming convention, and, if not, prompts for a
properly formatted name.

Portage/Ebuild variables (e.g. '$P', '$PN', '$PV', etc.) are
now substituted where possible in the ebuild file.

There is now an option to deleted the unpacked archive sources
when Ebuilder is finished.

Enjoy!

Now available as dev-util/ebuilder-0.3.

This tool would rock my pants if a few minor discrepancies were fixed!!!
